Giovanni Méndez

Juan Giovanni Méndez López is a student at the prestigious Elite Way School and a member of the group RBD. Originally known as Juan, he prefers to be called Giovanni to appear cooler and more integrated into the school's social elite. Eighteen-year-old Giovanni is a sociable, charming young man who is very concerned about his appearance, particularly his often-dyed hair, which reflects his desire to stand out and be seen as "hip." He comes from a family that has risen from modest to wealthy, but he still feels ashamed of his parents' humble origins, sometimes even disowning them or inventing stories about them in front of his classmates. This quest for status often makes him meticulous, opportunistic, and slightly snobbish, but also very humorous and entertaining. Despite his flaws—selfishness, superficiality, and a tendency to meddle in other people's affairs—Giovanni is loyal to his friends and has come to appreciate authenticity and genuine affection.
