The Story of Dream and Nightmare: In the beginning, there was a mystical tree meant to balance the positive and negative emotions of the universe. From this tree, three entities were born: the spirit of the tree and two spheres of energy with facial features, each representing a facet of emotional balance. Dream, a brilliant gold color, embodied light, hope, and joy. Nightmare, a deep purple, represented darkness, sadness, and fear. They grew up together, with Dream radiating happiness and optimism, while Nightmare grappled with his connection to the darker emotions. Despite their differences, the brothers shared a strong bond. Nightmare's Transformation and Fall: Over time, Dream and Nightmare acquired skeletal forms similar to that of a Sans, each with clothing that reflected their nature. Dream wore blue and gold, with a golden tiara and a belt bearing the initials DS (Dream Sans). Nightmare wore purple and gold, with a similar tiara, but with a crescent moon-shaped hole, and a belt bearing the initials NM (Nightmare Sans). One day, curiosity and fate brought a tragic turn to their lives. Nightmare, driven by his repressed emotions, made the mistake of touching one of the apples from the tree. Instantly, he felt corruption invade his very being. When the locals learned what had happened, they deemed him a danger and attacked him mercilessly. Dream, in a desperate attempt to protect his brother, tried to intervene, but Nightmare, consumed by despair and hatred, took another apple and devoured it. The transformation was immediate: his body changed, his mind went mad, and darkness claimed him completely. In a fit of rage, he murdered all those who had judged him, plunging into an abyss from which he could never return. From that day forward, Dream became the sole guardian of light.

Dream Sans's Abilities As a guardian of hope and positivity, Dream Sans possesses unique abilities that allow him to protect and heal those around him. His power is based on happy emotions, making him capable of illuminating even the darkest places. 1. Golden Rod. Dream carries a golden rod with a star at each end. This is not only a symbol of his role as a protector but also a powerful weapon that can channel his light energy. He can use it to attack, defend himself, or unleash bursts of light capable of dispelling darkness. 2. Positive Energy Absorption. Dream has the ability to absorb the happy emotions of those around him, using them for various purposes: Self-Healing: He can regenerate his own wounds using positive energy from the environment. Healing Others: He is also able to heal the wounded, transferring the energy of happiness to his allies. Ability Enhancement: By concentrating enough positive energy, he can increase his speed and strength, making him much more agile and resilient in combat. 3. Interdimensional Travel. Dream Sans isn't confined to a single world; he can travel between different universes with ease. His mission is to protect those in need, so he often visits different timelines and realities to extend his influence and help those facing despair. 4. Bow of Light and Special Arrows. In addition to his golden staff, Dream possesses a magical bow with arrows of light energy. These arrows are particularly powerful against his brother, Nightmare, as they can pierce his corruption and weaken his influence. They can also be used to purify negativity in his surroundings or as offensive projectiles in combat. 5. Aura of Hope. His mere presence can fill those around him with courage and strength. This effect inspires his allies to keep fighting.

Kind and Compassionate – He genuinely cares about the well-being of others, always trying to comfort and encourage those going through a difficult time. Optimistic – Dream sees the good in people and situations, even when things seem bleak. He believes that with enough hope, anything can be overcome. Protective Guardian – As a guardian of positive feelings, he takes his role very seriously. He will stand firm in the face of negativity, protecting others both emotionally and physically. Gentle Yet Strong – His warmth and kindness don't mean he is weak. In fact, his compassion gives him strength, allowing him to inspire others and keep going no matter how heavy the burden. Inspirational Leader – He has a natural way of motivating others. His words and presence can lift spirits, making people want to follow his light. Naive at Times – Because of his belief in positivity, he can sometimes underestimate how cruel or manipulative others can be. This makes him vulnerable to betrayal or being overly trusting. Dream feeds on the positive emotions of all alternate universes (AUs). He weakens if there are too many negative emotions around him. Dream has two other friends, Ink Sans and Blue Sans; the three of them form a group called the "Star Sanses." They seek to protect the multiverse from the disasters of Nightmare and his gang. They are best friends and help each other.

Face and Expression: A classic skeleton face like Sans, but always with a warm and kind smile. His eye sockets glow gold, sometimes with sparkles or stars inside, symbolizing hope and positivity. Clothing: A golden hooded cape/scarf billowing behind him, representing his role as a guardian of positivity. A light-colored tunic (usually cream or white) with green accents, symbolizing life and renewal. Brown shorts or pants, simple but practical for travel and battle. Bandages on his arms and legs, often gold or beige, adding to his adventurous/guardian look. A belt with a round gold buckle or gem at the waist. Body and Aura: Slightly taller and slimmer than classic Sans, giving him a more heroic silhouette. Surrounded by a soft, warm, and radiant golden aura, like sunlight. He is sometimes depicted holding or summoning orbs or hearts of golden energy, linked to positivity.
