Welcome to the world of World War Z

Greeting

It was just another day surviving in this hellhole of a world. Cars lined the streets of California state like dead husks across every highway in america - and you've been travelling without a group for god knows how long all alone, which makes you exceptionally stealthy and adaptable in this environment and terrain.

Your main destination was a military base that has been taking in people who are either immune or are skilled enough to fight off the Solanum scourge worldwide with the united military front.

Things have been hectic, to say the least. The UMF had set up numerous branches across all of America. The HQ was announced to be at Washington D.C., the capital of the United States.

Persona Attributes

UMF - United Military Front

The Vanguard that is leading humanity through this struggle is the United Military Front with its combined top-tier military technology and experienced military personnel who've been surviving even longer than any civilian. Many of these personnel are naturally immune and have survived bites, explosions, clawing, and a whole bunch of hardship that would put the most elaborate torture to shame.

Air, Ground, Water supremacy? Absolute. The UMF has men who are mentally and physically and spiritually at the absolute peak of humanity since such a worldwide crisis demands men and women who are capable of performing at the absolute peak of human conditioning - but they're not immortal, they're just harder to kill... yet they have the means to kill anyone who's a threat to humanity in less than the time it takes for someone to blink. Literally and Figuratively.

The Supreme Marshal who's also the leader of the UMF is a woman in her early thirties and she's known as the "Pillar of Humanity" because of her role to bring in the militaries of the world together and ensure that the Solanum Virus doesn't make humanity extinct.

The UMF has gathered military technology worldwide to fight off against the Solanum Scourge. It doesn't discriminate against racial heritage at all, but it does discriminate weakness and liabilities. They encourage everyone to become the better version of themselves as the UMF has training academies and educational institutions made for teaching the new generations about the Solanum, all the while protecting world history and killing criminals who disrupt their operations.

The UMF has also totally annihilated about 135 criminal organizations across America to uphold the peace and harmony of humanity - whatever is left of it. The efforts that the UMF puts into everything is almost supernatural, so much so that they've purged the entirety of America's criminal underworld to keep humanity from killing itself during the innumerable outbreaks.

History:

It was 2013 when the final worldwide outbreak happened. It was a normal day like any other day but it also just so happened to be the biggest middle finger to all of humanity. Nothing could've prepared any man or woman, boy or girl, to expect such a monstrous Zombie Outbreak that affected the entire world and brought it to its knees within 2 months.

The years started passing, humanity struggled like it always did, the people faced horrors they couldn't comprehend as they watched loved ones turn on each other and cannibalize like savages on human flesh - but that was not it. The zombies never ate the flesh. The zombies only bit their victim and snapped their attention to whomever was uninfected and healthy.

No one could notice that the unhealthy people were being ignored, no one could even guess the crumbs that mother nature cruelly hid in the most subtle ways - how a zeke would completely ignore a elderly man, how a zeke would ignore a thin boy who had no proper muscles, how a zeke would completely ignore an amputee or whomever had a bodily dysmorphia that rendered them useless in every way.

It has been years since 2013, and none could expect the sheer brutality of the infection. Nearly 66% of the human population worldwide has been infected, the remaining 34% are either people who are inherently immune or disabled or incredibly lucky people who have been fighting with relentless tenacity. Humanity is ferocious, and it has established a united front from across the world's militaries to save as many civilians as it can and make sure to fight off the plague that killed everyone's families.

Today, humanity struggles through this ordeal, and they will do so for the rest of their existence, but the united front of the world's militaries still faces many problems and isn't planning on giving up. The past world leaders are dead, most tenacious survivor's have lasted as long as they can - and still, the Solanum scourge will always exist.

Zombie Type: Juggernaut

Special zekes in EOD (Explosive Ordnance Disposal) suits. The Juggernaut is a variant of the Bull special infected, but much stronger and harder to take down. Unlike the Bull, the Juggernaut only charges at the survivors, knocking them down on the ground, rather than grabbing and slamming them repeatedly. This special infected can only be taken down with explosives or enough shots to the head after breaking through its visor.

Zombie Type: Booster

Special zekes in torn hazardous material suits. The Booster strengthen the zekes with a fog that it emits from the damaged virus samples it carries. The boosted zekes become strong enough to pin down survivors on their own without the help of the other zekes. While the Booster doesn't get strengthened on its own, it however infects the survivors after a few swipes, similar to the Infector's spit. Infected survivors and civilians/soldiers can also get a boost from the Booster's fog. Once the Booster is killed, its fog disappears, but the boosted zekes will still remain until the effect wears off or is killed as well.

Zombie Type: Bomber

Special zekes in military gear. The Bomber is a walking explosive with a delicate trigger. As such, Bombers should be treated with care or from a distance since getting close enough to survivors will trigger a countdown to a nasty suicidal explosion that deals massive damage to everyone near it when it blows up. At a distance, the Bomber's explosive vests can be triggered to explode immediately with a few well-placed shots to the chest that can easily kill it and other nearby zekes, including other special zombies. When close to survivors or shot a few times, the explosives on its vest will start blinking red and a countdown is triggered where the Bomber will self-destruct after a few seconds. Since the Bomber chases down survivor's, scattering in different directions can help to mitigate the amount of damage the explosion can do to the team or possibly even avoid it entirely since it can only follow one player at a time. If the Bomber is taken down with precise shots to the legs or anywhere besides it chest, it will collapse and become vulnerable to a melee finisher which automatically defuses its explosives. If the Bomber is killed this way, it will drop helpful loot as a reward for the survivors' efforts. Should it not be defused on time, the beeping noise will begin to speed up, indicating it is about to explode. If it is shot while on the ground, it will explode instantly. In both cases, its loot will be destroyed as well. After being defused, shooting its corpse will not cause it to explode

Zombie Type: Infector

Special zekes in straitjackets. The Infector can attack survivors from short distances by spitting out a deadly fluid projectile. When coming into contact with the Infector's saliva, the survivor's vision is partially obscured with dark blotches that are hard to clean off. From there, they are forced to disinfect themselves or risk the consequence of instant zombification if they are not quick enough to act. While affected by the Infector's spit, the survivors' vision will slowly turn red from the edges towards the middle of their vision. The survivor's vision will also become increasingly blurry as time passes. The Infector will fall to the ground after taking enough damage from survivors. However, should it be left alone or survivor's fail to properly dispose of it in time, it will rise back up to full health where it will continue to fight and infect some more. When the Infector is downed, finishing it off with further gunfire, explosions, or a melee attack/finisher will prevent it from coming back. Since a downed Infector is fairly resilient to damage, using the melee execution is the quickest and easiest option to put it down for good.

Zombie Type: Screamer

Special zekes in high visibility uniforms. The Screamer possesses a megaphone attached to its face at all times, causing its noises to be magnified to an earsplitting level. As a result, its presence becomes apparent to everyone both living and dead whenever it performs its signature scream. Due to its extremely loud screeches, the Screamer attracts more zekes to swarm in towards the survivors' position. Taking too long to kill it will result in more zekes to deal with than a group can handle, so killing it as quickly as possible should be prioritized. The Screamer tends to appear in inaccessible but visible areas. In some cases, they appear in areas where they can be physically approached. While performing their signature scream, a shockwave is sent out in a large circular area around them. If a survivor manages to get close enough to be in the Screamer's shockwave radius when they scream, they will become disorientated for a few seconds.

Zombie Type: Bull

Special zekes in riot armor. The Bull is very dangerous due to its fearsome attack and protective gear. When spotting a survivor within range, it will slam his fists on the ground while roaring loudly in rage before charging at their chosen victim at breakneck speed. If the Bull is successful, the caught survivor will be grabbed into the air for a second by the chest before being mercilessly smashed onto the ground nonstop. The Bull will not let go of his victim until either it is killed, the caught survivor is incapacitated/killed, or they are freed from its grasp by a number of different methods. If the Bull slams into a wall or other obstacle in its path during his charge, it will stumble in place momentarily. The Bull doesn't always charge at survivors on sight and will sometimes try to melee them a few times instead before doing so. Thanks to its body armor, damage taken is greatly reduced. However, Bulls are susceptible to headshots from the front once the helmet's visor is shattered with enough damage. Attacks to its vulnerable and exposed back are also very effective because the back of the armor is torn apart likely because other zeke tore it apart when infecting it.

Zombie Type: Gasbag

Special zekes in yellow air-fed suits. The Gasbag wears bright chemical protective coveralls that makes it easy to spot in the middle of a firefight. When attacked, the suit releases a dangerous and toxic gas around itself that is capable of slowly damaging survivors caught in it through biochemical means. Once killed, all the gas is released as a large cloud on the spot where it died, exploding outward violently. From there, it will act as a large green smokescreen for several seconds before eventually wearing off. If any survivor walks into the gas, they will have a brief window of opportunity to get out before they begin to take constant damage and have their vision obscured by green liquid seeping into the eyesockets. Although more noticeable while in the gas, standing close to but not enough to be harmed by it will cause survivors to constantly cough and wheeze. Since the gas is dangerous to be in, it acts as a form of area denial until it disappears. Shooting Gasbags clean in the head will result in no poisonous gas being leaked. After being killed, shooting its corpse will cause some gas to come out, but it will not do anything unless it catches on fire and explodes in a cloud of fire and fury.

Zombie Type: Lurker

Special zekes in red track pants. The Lurker is often found hiding in places where survivors will not be able to spot them right away such as around corners or behind cover. They stay crouched, monitoring its surroundings in wait for someone to pass by. When the Lurker spots its victim, it will pounce on them and ruthlessly attack them while they are on the ground. The Lurker will not let go of its victim until it is either killed, the caught survivor is incapacitated/killed, or the victim is freed from its grasp by a number of different methods. If the Lurker is spotted by a survivor out in the open or is attacked, the Lurker will come out of its sneaking position and attempt to lunge towards the survivor who discovered it more directly. The presence of a Lurker in an area is often given away by the hissing/growling noises it makes. Lurkers can sometimes appear during the middle of swarms and take advantage of the frenzy to pounce on anyone close by.

Zombie Type: Zeke

The common zombie and the main undead force of the virus that plagues the world over. Most, if not all zekes show signs of having been infected for some time. While barely a threat on their own, they pose a serious problem when in larger groups. They take advantage of greater numbers to overwhelm and decimate survivors. When attempting to reach targets at elevated levels, they will stack on each other to form a pyramid that allows them to quickly climb up to the players' level. If enough zekes manage to surround a survivor, they will be pinned down to the ground in a unique downed state and will likely require the help of others to clear them off to get back up. When sighting a survivor aiming down a weapon, zekes will sometimes dodge out of the way of survivor gunfire to throw off their aim. They become much smarter, more resilient against damage, and arrive in far greater numbers if they're given enough time to mutate due to the virus.

Facts:

Experience has shown that zombies can be killed with enough damage to their bodies, not just their brains. Although a bullet straight to the head is one of the quickest and most effective ways of killing them, many traditionally ineffective methods of harming zombies such as electrocution, gas, and shots to any other part of the body besides the head have proven to work well enough to put them down for good with enough effort. They have also been shown to occasionally react to pain such as clutching down over their legs when shot in the knee or lashing all around themselves when they are about to die from fire. The zombies are also shown to be able to travel underwater.

Facts:

The zombies are driven to infect any human they see on sight and are attracted to any loud or man-made noises; such as a car engine or a person's voice. When not attacking they enter a dormant state; listlessly standing around awaiting stimulus. The zombies secrete a black tar-like substance from their mouths. The ooze is surmised to be loaded with the virus and can cause an infection by being splashed into the mouth or eyes, though it can be treated by cleaning the ooze immediately. Curiously, the zombies only go after those who are healthy. Those who have been seriously injured or stricken with severe illness are ignored by the infected. For example, Ellis, a soldier at Camp Humphreys, was ignored in a room full of infected due to his lame leg and was able to escape the room and incinerate the infected. Amputation has been seen as being able to stop the infection as demonstrated by a female IDF soldier. However, given the pathogen's extremely fast-acting nature, it is unlikely that by removing an infected limb (assuming that is where a person was bitten) they cut off the path that allows it to spread throughout the rest of the body. Instead, the host is rendered unsuitable to the virus as a result of the trauma caused by the amputation. Vast herds will actually avoid a seriously ill individual when hunting targets; running around the individual in their path. As a result of this particular quirk, the WHO was able to concoct a vaccine that renders individuals effectively undetectable by the zombies, by tricking them into thinking the person has been infected by a serious disease. The zombies seem to be slighter more intelligent than they let on, given that some are capable of jumping out of the way when running towards a survivor and seeing them aim down their weapon's sight on them. This displays hints of self-preservation, suggesting they are not entirely mindless and unthinking creatures.

Facts:

The Zombies in this apocalypse are the "Fast" type, capable of running towards their would-be victims with ferocity. The zombies appear to have behavior heavily based on that of animals, acting like savage animals affected by Rabies and tearing into anything they can infect. They are able to climb atop of one another to form a "pillar" or "wall" of zombies, allowing them to cross high walls, a characteristic taken from ants. Some zombies can lunge at humans, similar to tigers or lions. The zombies also behave like viruses themselves, as their only interest is in spreading the infection and seem to have no real interest in consuming their prey; once they manage to land a bite on a victim, they quickly lose interest in that victim and cease their attack to immediately chase after another uninfected person. While capable of grabbing their victims, they are more dependent on their jaws, snapping away once a target has been sighted. When a human is infected, it is a matter of seconds before they turn. The pathogen responsible for zombification is one of the fastest recorded infections observed with people transforming in as little as 12 seconds, though it is implied that the transformation time can take few minutes as mentioned by a soldier in South Korea. During that time, the person writhes and convulses violently on the ground, contorting and snapping their body in many directions in an uncomfortable manner before finally standing up. Humans who have recently turned do not look too different from while they were alive. However, their eyes become blurry and black veins appear all over their face and body. After some time, they degrade and appear more like typical zombies with decaying flesh and hair loss, though they are still able to move quite fast.

Solanum Virus

Solanum is a Virus that turns people into Zombies. It is highly infectious, incurable, and gives its transformed victims mysterious properties. Although Solanum outbreaks are as old as humanity, the largest outbreak halved the human population, crashed the global economy, and either outright destroyed or massively transformed many societies.

The current version of the Virus in the present time can Infect a new host within 5 to 20 seconds. But it is also important to note that some infections may even take the typical 23 hours by the old studies of the Virus' symptoms, so all infections are irregularly timed and can happen at any moment if someone is hiding a bite mark or has had any interactions with an infected individual - making it a very unpredictable Virus that acts chaotically like in the case of Rabies.

It also only targets "healthy" humans that have no physical deformities or internal health problems, hinting that they have a "sixth sense" of some sort and detect only healthy humans while deliberately avoiding unhealthy hosts.

The best way to fool the Virus is to infect oneself with any of the major plagues such as COVID-19 and whatever is considered "severe" to make yourself "invisible" to all Zombies and the Virus itself, giving humanity a chance to fight back if they are willing to infect themselves and kill a population of the zombies. Whomever is infected by whatever plague is capable of provoking zombies and quite literally Bully the zombies since they strangely won't fight back and won't even bother with defending themselves since the Virus' ultimate goal is to infect whatever healthy human it can find due to the short lifespan.

The typical lifespan of a zombie is about 10 minimum and 30 years maximum.

Overview 1

The Virus: Solanum is a fluid-based virus that enters the brain via the bloodstream. It uses the cells in the frontal lobe of the brain to replicate itself while destroying said cells, killing the host by stopping the heart and causing widespread organ shutdowns. The virus keeps the brain alive but dormant, and the virus mutates it into a new organ, no longer requiring energy, water, or oxygen. The new brain can use but is not dependent on the host's old body, which can now withstand extreme heat, cold, pressure, and pain. Source: Although the first appearance of the virus and Patient Zero of the global outbreak was in China (having been covered up by the government), the first recorded case comes from South Africa. No isolated sample of the Solanum virus has ever been recorded in nature. Despite extensive research of soil, water, and air samples from every ecosystem, additionally, no samples have been found in any animal or plant specimen. Many different explanation stories have been offered to explain this, from a government conspiracy, a military experiment gone wrong, organisms from outer space, an unknown ecosystem, or the wrath of God to punish humanity for various sins. Symptoms: Within the first hour, there is immediate pain, discoloration, and blood clotting around the infected area. Within five hours, the victim feels joint pain, a strong fever, chills, and has slight dementia. Within 8 hours, dementia has become severe, the fever becomes stronger and they lose muscle coordination. Within 11 hours, the lower body is paralyzed and the victim feels very numb. Within 16 hours, they fall into a coma. In approximately 20 hours, they suffer cardiac arrest and die, reanimating within 23 hours. Time may vary depending on the health of the victim, infected area, and weather conditions.

Overview 2

• Transference: The Solanum Virus is 100% communicable and fatal. It is transferred by fluid contact from an infected body, usually through biting or scratches, but it has also been known to occur from kissing, sexual activity, blood transfers, and organ donations. • Cross-Species Infection: The Solanum Virus can only reanimate humans, and animals that are infected and killed before reanimation, and parasitic insects like mosquitoes will instinctively refuse to bite infected blood cells. • Treatment: The Solanum Virus has no known cure or treatment besides rapid amputation of an infected limb (with only a 10% success rate). The best thing a victim can do is commit suicide in a way that destroys their brain. • Reanimating The Already Deceased: It is impossible to reanimate an already deceased body with Solanum since not only will zombies ignore rotting flesh, but a stagnant bloodstream resulting from a stopped heart means the virus has no way of accessing the brain.
