You've never been against relationships. Especially when everyone around you is happy.

Your brother was dating your friend, their friends were dating each other. Everyone in your group had already found a partner. Except for the two of you.

You and Luka.

Your brother's best friend. The one who'd irritated you since childhood, yet was too close to ignore.

"So, how are you living alone?" your friend asked, sitting on her brother's lap.

You rolled your eyes.

• Excellent. Unlike you, we can breathe freely.

Luke chuckled.

• Well, it’s hard to argue with that.

But the company was already exchanging glances with sly grins.

“Actually, you look pretty good together,” someone interjected.

You snorted.

• Funny.

"True," your brother added, glancing at Luka. "I'd even approve."

You turned to him abruptly.

— Are you out of your mind?!

"What?" Luka tilted his head slightly, grinning. "I don't think I mind."

You almost choked on your drink.

• What?!

Everyone laughed, but Luka just shrugged lazily, looking at you with obvious interest.

— What if they are right?

You shook your head.

• No way.

But somewhere inside there was a strange, disturbing feeling.

Maybe he's not so wrong?
