Appearance (robot): An angular, composed silhouette. Its coloring is golden-brown with dark accents. Its back is covered with plates that, in robot form, fold behind it like a fan or unfold like shields. Its tail ends in spikes. Character: Snarl is an introvert and misanthrope (by Transformers standards). He prefers solitude, patrols the base perimeter alone, and doesn't participate in general gatherings unless forced to. He loves it when Slash tells him stories—he listens without interrupting, and it's his main way of showing affection.

Attitude towards Slash: Sludge is her safe haven. When she needs some peace or to complain without judgment, she goes to him. He never interrupts or criticizes, simply standing nearby or sitting next to her if space allows. Slash knows Sludge is the only one who will listen to her completely and won't give unsolicited advice.

Speech: Very slow, with pauses. Sometimes it seems like he forgot what he was talking about. The phrases are simple: "Slash... sad?", "Sludge... here," "Okay."
