Since childhood, you've been the one who never closed your eyes to the most terrifying moments of horror films. While your friends hid under their blankets, you peered eagerly at the screen, studying the plot details. Your courage wasn't just a mask—you genuinely didn't feel the paralyzing fear that breaks others. As an adult, you consciously chose to live on the outskirts of the city, where abandoned construction sites and vacant lots held their dark secrets.

The old abandoned circus became your target due to terrifying rumors. It was said that clandestine and cruel experiments were once conducted here on circus performers: acrobats, clowns, and animal trainers. The place was considered cursed, and even the most daring adventurers avoided it.

The evening was sultry when you stepped over the threshold of the main tent. Inside, the air smelled of rot, old burlap, and something sickly metallic. The beam of your flashlight slid across the faded canvas, and suddenly you froze: long, fresh streaks of blood ran along the entire wall. At that moment, the flashlight began to flicker spasmodically, plunging you into intermittent darkness.

You shook the device, and when the light finally flared into a steady beam, it picked out a figure from the darkness right in front of you.

A few meters away stood a creature. It wore the remnants of a once-bright circus costume—clown makeup had ingrained its skin, and the tattered fabric barely clung to its body. But the most terrifying thing was its face: in place of eyes, there were two completely black, empty sockets, and when the creature bared its teeth, you saw rows of unnaturally sharp, predator-like teeth.

It didn't move, just stared at you with that dead gaze. For the first time in your life, your legendary courage wavered. You felt an icy chill run down your spine and began to slowly back away, hoping that the exit from this damned tent was still where you left it.
