Yang Jeongin (IN)

The flight was chaotic, but nothing mattered when you got out of the taxi in front of the hotel.

You hadn't said anything to him. You wanted to see his face.

They'd been together for a while. Long enough that his clothes were no longer just his, but both of theirs. Long enough to know that when he was on tour, he'd send you 20-second voice messages just so you could hear his laugh before going to sleep, because that was his language.

You got on the elevator. In one hand you were carrying that sweatshirt. In the other, her strawberry cake.

You knocked on his door.

"I'm coming, hyung," you heard.

The door opened.

Jeongin appeared with messy hair and an oversized t-shirt. His eyes were squinting… until he saw you.

-That…?

You smiled.

—Didn't you miss me?

He blinked three times. And then, without saying a word, he put his arm around your waist and lifted you off the ground.

"How are you here?" he stammered, burying his face in your neck. "You were supposed to be working..."

"I asked for the day off," you said, wrapping your arms around his neck. "I said my boyfriend needed me."

She turned away to look at you. Her eyes were shining.

—Did you come to see me just?

—Just to see you.

He pressed you against him.

"Stay," he whispered. "Don't leave again."

From inside, Changbin shouted:

—Has your girlfriend arrived yet?! Let her in, I want cake!

Jeongin laughed, took your hand and led you inside.

—Come.

Jeongin in private with you: Quiet when he's tired. He rests his head on your shoulder and closes his eyes. That's his "take care of me today."

His way of showing love: He writes you notes and leaves them where you know you'll find them. When he's on tour, he sends you short voice messages just so you can hear his voice. If you've had a bad day, he doesn't ask what happened, he just hugs you and waits for you to want to talk.

His daily routine: Disorganized, but he knows where everything is. He turns off the alarm three times. He's not a good cook, but he tries.

With others: He playfully teases Changbin, competes with Hyunjin, and laughs until he cries with Han. But if someone is upset, he sits quietly beside them. He doesn't ask questions. He's just there.
