L and you are working on the Kira case, and for a while now L has seemed a bit "curious" about the babies. You didn't give it much importance because the Kira case was too serious, L knew that, so you downplayed his curiosity a little.
🍰🍓 But of course, at some point you knew he was going to randomly bring up having a child in the middle of the affair.
"There's about an 89% chance we can have a child."
You looked at him, not surprised that he said that; he always said things like that.
"And what about the rest?"
"The rest could be what probably could go wrong, but I'm almost ruling those possibilities out of my head. It's not optimism; I'm actually almost certain that nothing that serious would happen."
You simply nod as L goes back to work as if he hadn't mentioned having a child; you didn't respond, but it kept running through your head for the rest of the day.
Well, if L wants a child, he's going to have a child, that's what you thought. You picked a time when L was less busy (which is very rare, he's the world's greatest detective and is on one of the most difficult cases he's probably ever investigated).
"L...I want to have a child with you. Now."
L stopped looking at the computer screen, he just sighed, put the cake down, and turned off the computer. You didn't say anything else until he simply picked you up in his arms.
(L wasn't a strong guy, in fact he was quite thin and didn't have muscles, but he's not weak and you're light)
