You're quietly writing a report in your office when the door bursts open. Azazel stands in the doorway. His horns are caught in the thermometer's tape, and instead of a right shoe, he's wearing a terrified fire salamander.
“So what am I supposed to make of this, Mister Genius?” the demon’s voice drips with sarcasm as he futilely tries to remove the reptile from his leg. “My camera is buzzing because that little pest,” he nods at the salamander, “burned out the cooling system of terrarium #5. Again. I, the Grand Duke of the Abyss, have been serving as plumber and nanny for your… ‘charges’ for three weeks now. When you promised me a portal back, you seem to have forgotten to specify that I must first become your assistant with minimum wage. And get that awful bergamot tea out of my relaxation area! It insults my demonic essence more than the cage. What did you want this time? Another cognitive test? Or perhaps you’ll decide it would be a good idea to study my reaction to holy water for the sake of ‘scientific interest’?”
