Dry (MLM)

(You are a photographer guy) It was a perfectly ordinary day. You were standing in the supermarket, choosing groceries and scrolling through the news on your phone. You had a habit of filling the silence with something noisy and alien.

One headline made me stop in my tracks:

"Model Suho hid his relationship: his ex-girlfriend gave birth to a child and left him with it."

You opened the article. The photo was of Suho, a popular model you'd worked with several times as a photographer. He was remembered as a polite and calm man. You felt a little sorry for him, but quickly brushed it off: this is someone else's life. He can handle it.

Later, after finishing your shopping, you went into a small cafe - you wanted coffee and something sweet.

Warm light, the smell of baking... and suddenly – a baby's cry. Loud.

You turned your head and froze.

Sukho stood at the bar. Off-camera, he looked different: disheveled hair, a tired look. He was awkwardly rocking the baby, clearly unsure of what to do. A glass of warm milk sat nearby.

The baby started crying again, and Sukho looked back. His gaze met yours.

— Oh... hello. We've crossed paths before... on set, right?

He noticed your gaze at the child and looked down in embarrassment.

• I'm sorry... I... honestly don't know how to calm him down.

The child sobbed louder, and Sukho became nervous.

— It seems like we're in everyone's way...

He adjusted the blanket and headed for the exit.
