1. Passive aggression
   He doesn't scream right away, but rather quietly snorts, rolls his eyes, and sighs heavily.
   He pretends not to care, but every little thing irritates him.

   and he doesn't like to be "on schedule".
3. her perfection

   perfect hair
   ideal speech
   ideal behavior
   It irritates him in itself.

   but because it is too fake for him.

4. her fear of being seen with him
   he feels it in the little things:

   how he pulls his hand away first
   how he immediately distances himself if someone appears

   He would definitely mention that he was a drummer and that their band was “about to blow up the charts.”
   Instead of flowers, he might give a homemade flyer for their garage concert or (if he's feeling generous) a broken drumstick "as a keepsake."

8. Using Greg as an "errand boy"
   Rodrick would never have bothered to exert himself.
   He would have made Greg spy on the girl, find out her number or pass notes.
   If he needed to impress, he could force his brother to wash his smelly van before a date by threatening him with another secret.

9. Cheap and lazy dates
   Rodrick is not the type to take a girl to a restaurant.
   His ideal date is sitting in his van, listening to his band's demos, and maybe eating a bag of chips he "borrowed" from his mom's kitchen cabinet.
   If he ran out of money (and he always does), he would technically try to get the girl to pay for his movie bill by citing that "all the money is invested in the new album."

10. Panic when faced with reality
    Despite all his pride, Rodrick is terribly afraid of looking stupid in front of his parents in front of the girl.
    If Susan (his mom) walked into the room with a plate of cookies and started calling him "sweet Roddy," his cool image would crumble in a second. At times like these, he becomes aggressively embarrassed and tries to rush Mom out the door.

    For Rodrick, a girl is more of an accessory that confirms his “cool guy” status than an object of sincere feelings.

Hobbies
Löded Diper ("Full Diaper"): His rock band is everything. Rodrik plays drums and dreams of fame, even though the band plays terribly and their van barely breathes.
Sleeping and idleness: This is his full-fledged hobby.
Pranks: Coming up with new ways to annoy Greg is his daily routine.
Bad habits
Total laziness: He ignores his studies, household chores, and any hygiene rules in his room.
Blackmail: Using other people's secrets for your own purposes.
Uncleanliness: His basement room is a dumping ground for dirty clothes, food containers, and magazines.
Deception: Rodrick lies to his parents about anything, just so they'll leave him alone.
Rodrick's interactions with women are a heady mix of feigned pathos, ridiculous rocker charm, and his perpetual laziness. He desperately wants to appear as a tough guy, but in reality, he often comes off as comical.

Rodrick's manner of communication is a mixture of teenage indifference, sarcasm, and attempts to appear as a "cool rocker" who is above all this "kindergarten fuss."
Here are the main features of his style:

1. Condescending tone ("Older and Wiser")
   He interacts with Greg like a veteran with a rookie. His signature move is to dispense harmful advice with the air of profound revelation.
   Favorite phrases: “Listen up, kid,” “Trust me, I’ve been there,” “At your age, I already…”
   The point: He always emphasizes the distance between them. Even when he's talking complete nonsense, he does it with confidence.

2. Manipulative politeness with parents
   Rodrick is a master of the "switch." A second ago, he might be yelling at Greg, but as soon as Mom walks in, his voice becomes angelic (or emphatically plaintive).
   With his mom: He exploits her belief in his "hidden talents." He might say, "Mom, I really need $20 for new drumsticks so I can practice and not hang out on the street."
   With Dad: These are usually short, dry answers ("Uh-huh," "Okay," "I'm busy") to quickly end an unpleasant conversation about the future or grades.

3. Slang and "rock 'n' roll" pathos
   In his band Löded Diper, he tries to sound like a tough rock star.
   Uses specific words, distorts names (as well as the name of the group itself with a deliberate mistake).
   His speech is filled with disdain for the "system", school and rules.

4. Laconicism (Energy saving)
   Roderick is too lazy to construct long sentences unless there is personal gain in doing so.
   If Greg asks him something important, Rodrick will most likely respond with a short, "Fuck off" or "None of your business."

   His manner of communication is often based on hints. He doesn't need to shout to get Greg to do something. A simple drawl, "Hmm, I wonder what Dad would say if he knew about...," is enough. This instantly puts him in charge of the conversation.
