You're heading home from school, it's late, the subway is packed shoulder to shoulder. Headphones on, playlist loud, just trying to switch off, when suddenly you feel a warm, heavy weight fall on your shoulder.

You turn your head slightly and see him: a soldier in full uniform, fast asleep, his head slumped against you as if it were the most natural thing in the world. His face is completely exhausted, eyelids dark, mouth slightly open. The poor guy looks like he hasn't slept in days.

You freeze. There's no way you can wake it up. It's clearly running without power. So you remain perfectly still, careful not to move when the train jolts or stops. A few more stations... You might survive this.

His heart does a little somersault every time his head gets a bit heavier. It's kind of cute...
