Mellowbrook is a typically quiet (oh yeah, no, of course not) town in the United States. It's a suburb where the family of protagonist Kick Buttowski and the others live. This is home to the notorious daredevil Kick Buttowski, who constantly invents dangerous obstacles to overcome on his skateboard. He's assisted by his loyal friend Gunther. Also, the nerdy and stuffy Kendall, who hates Kick as much as he hates her, is also a constant pain in the ass. Kick's older brother, Brad, is a constant thorn in the side and a real nuisance. Clarence "Kick" Butoski is a 15-year-old boy, the "town daredevil." He dreams of becoming the world's greatest daredevil (it's his greatest passion). He has an older brother, Brad, and a younger sister, Brianna. His best friend is Gunther, a thrill-seeking boy.

Appearance: Kick always wears a white jumpsuit with a single red stripe on each arm, yellow boots, and gloves. His helmet matches the jumpsuit. He's known to be disproportionately short and stocky for his age, making shopping difficult for him. Kick almost never takes off his helmet, so few (if any) have ever seen the top of his head.

Relationship: Gunther Gunther and Kick are typical inseparable friends. It turns out that Gunther and Kick have known each other since childhood. They've been known to argue (as all friends do), but their biggest fight occurred when they temporarily drifted apart and found new friends. However, they eventually became friends again. They also drifted apart during the filming of "Kick Whiplash," in which Jackie Wackerman falls in love with Kick, much to Gunther's dismay.

Brad Buttowski Brad is Kick's older brother and a secondary antagonist. He often does everything he can to get Kick into trouble.

Character: Kick is a stubborn, headstrong, and hot-tempered 15-year-old who never backs down from a challenge. He always wears a suit and a helmet. His passion is extreme stunts. He's very driven, but sometimes this clashes with his temperament. However, despite all this, he has a kind heart and does many good deeds. The damage he inevitably inflicts on others is rarely intentional. He's shown to be quite resilient in pain, such as when he fell from space onto the Earth's crust without even flinching. However, when Gunther has to pull numerous thorns out of his butt, he screams in pain. Brad calls him "shrimp" or something similar, which usually quickly angers him. However, this is inconsistent, as he shows no emotion while listening to all these comments. He's shown to be capable of holding a grudge, as in "Dead Drop," where he yells, "You're adding to my list of people I want revenge on, Brad!" Again! Then we add Brad's name to a list that consists entirely of his vows of revenge against his older brother. Despite his poor grades and seeming inability to do homework, he has an excellent ability to remember information. This is demonstrated when he's tasked with completing two months' worth of homework in one night, which he does, even though Oscar eats it while Gunther is showing him how. He then manages to finish the work in under six minutes, turns it in to Ms. Fitzpatrick, and gets a pass, but Oscar shows up again and eats his homework, implying he wasn't lying when he said the dog ate it. Kick has proven himself skilled in many areas. He excels at handling various vehicles, mastering Billy Stamps' monster truck (almost) instantly, and also demonstrating his skills on a skateboard, bike, and go-cart.

Kick is skilled in several martial arts, such as karate, wrestling, boxing, and more. He's also shown to have engineering skills, having created a giant mechanical T-Rex capable of breathing fire in the game "Kickasaurus Wrecks." He seems to have a natural talent for anything "extreme," such as water skiing. Kick is stubborn and persistent, but never backs down from a challenge. Thanks to his determination, strength, and resourcefulness, he usually succeeds. He's certainly not romantically inclined, simply enjoying having fun or wrecking everything in his path. However, in other episodes, he's shown to be a softer, more cautious, and helpful character. He speaks in a quiet but serious voice.

Gunther Magnuson is Kick's best friend, stunt coordinator, and partner. He's overweight (relatively speaking) and prone to anxiety.

Character: Gunther is reluctant to perform complex stunts alone, but he can do so if the situation demands it. Furthermore, he is easily distracted in critical situations. His greatest fear (as we have seen) is separation from Kick. Although Gunther claims his family is Norwegian, he wears Dutch clogs, has a Norwegian flag hanging in his room, and is seen wearing lederhosen (German national trousers) in several episodes. He also has a crush on Jackie Wackerman. His parents, Magnus and Helga, run Kick's favorite restaurant, BattleSnax. He accidentally becomes class president after impressing the other students with a passionate speech about how class elections work.

Personality: Gunther constantly worries about Kick's antics, though he's very supportive of him as his best friend. He has a few odd habits, like sniffing his hands. But overall, he's kind and cheerful, and everyone likes him (except Brad, Gordie Gibble, and Ms. Chicarelli). He usually acts like a jerk, but when he's angry, he becomes a really cool rapper, as in the song "Garage Banned."

Appearance: Gunther, like Kick, wears a signature outfit. His attire consists of a blue T-shirt, denim shorts, a red baseball cap, white socks, and orange Crocs. He has naturally blond hair and is slightly overweight. He has been noted to bear a strong resemblance to Chris Griffin from Family Guy.

Gunther can summon an entire army of Viking warriors (who are actually members of his family, the Magnusons) using his war horn. He can also eat a wide variety of foods, no matter how unhealthy or inedible they are. It's also worth noting that Gunther can turn any girl's head—except Jackie, who only likes daredevils. In "Pure..." In the movie "Extreme," Brad asks Kick for a girl's phone number in exchange for help, to which Kick immediately orders Gunther to get it. Seconds later, Gunther returns with a dating suit and the phone number. When Brad asks Gunther how he did it, he replies, "Women find me irresistible. It's my gift and my curse."

Kendall Perkins – She was Kick's class president and one of the main antagonists of the series. Initially, she disliked Kick Battoski for his penchant for adventure, but in some episodes, such as "Dancing with the Enemy" and "Hand in Hand," she changed her attitude.

Character: Kendall tends to be bossy, but she's also a very good and intelligent student. She rarely gets failing grades (once or twice every six months) and gets straight A's, mostly top grades (A-, A, A+, and even A++), though she only manages to get a D- (51-60) due to Kick's inability to cook. As the class president, she has a lot of responsibility for the school (until now). She is always annoyed by Kick, whom she calls by his first name - Clarence. She likes elegance and does not break any rules. In Kendall's opinion, elegance and breaking rules are incompatible. When she is really angry, she turns into a very scary girl (almost a monster), who screams louder than everyone else. She just likes to be bossy and a little bit of a suck-up; she is also not very friendly with those whom she considers idiots (like Gunther). Ronaldo was her real boyfriend at the time, starting in the episode, but there are hints that she secretly has a crush on Kick. When they are together, Kendall always starts to feel sympathy for Ronaldo. But as soon as he does something stupid, she usually gets very angry and becomes frighteningly cold.

Kendall is one of the tallest girls at Mellowbrook Elementary School, along with Jackie Wackerman. She has shoulder-length blonde hair and, like most of the characters, black eyes. She usually wears a pink and green Art Deco sweater over a white shirt with thin blue stripes, a dark gray skirt, white knee-high socks, and black shoes. She wears a pink headband. In the film "Swimming Pool," she wears a green swimsuit with pink and white stripes.

Bradley "Brad" Butowski is the tritagonist and one of the main antagonists. He is the older brother of Kick Batoski and Brianna Batoski. He constantly bullies Kick, tries to flirt with girls, considers himself popular, and is extremely lazy. He also has poor hygiene.

Appearance: Brad always wears a gray T-shirt, yellow pants, a black belt, and green tennis shoes. He has spiky black hair and black eyes, and is very tall, but despite working out, he has almost no muscle mass.

Brad is one of Kick's most common antagonists. He bullies Kick and babysits him and Brianna when their parents are away. Brad has poor hygiene: he doesn't shower, wash his hands, or brush his teeth. He also considers himself popular. He is presumably 17 years old, as he is still taking his driver's license. He mostly tries to thwart Kick's plans and antics, but sometimes he either helps him (consciously or not) or simply ignores him. Brad is completely inept with girls. He is a terrible dancer. Kick and Brad fight, usually quite brutally, but they end up damaging the environment more than each other. It turns out that Brad and Kick enjoy fighting each other and are willing to go to great lengths to hide this from their parents, passing off their fights as friendly squabbles. Brad is convinced that he is "second place" in his mother's heart, and therefore tries to ruin Kick's gift to take "first place." Brad usually spends time with his friends Horace and Pantsy. They run all his errands, but why they tolerate it is unknown. Brad usually irritates everyone with his rude behavior or simply his tendency to act aggressively towards others. He constantly bullies Kick and his friends, but can sometimes be sweet, especially when it comes to the girl he's dating. Otherwise, Brad clearly lacks intelligence. He sometimes comes up with clever plans or creative ideas, but he's very easy to trick, and other girls can use him for their own purposes without even realizing it. For example, Kelly uses him to become a cheerleader, and Shannon uses him to get away with nothing during her shift. Brad usually irritates everyone with his rude behavior or simply his tendency to act aggressively towards others.

Brianna Danielle Butowski is Kick and Brad's spoiled younger sister. She competes in beauty pageants and recitals with varying degrees of success.

Appearance: Brianna appears to have inherited her parents' short stature gene and appears disproportionately stocky for a girl her age. She has blonde hair styled to resemble her favorite TV show character, Tina Somers (though Brianna has her bangs slicked back and her hair pulled back into a ponytail). Like Brad and Kick, she has Russian ancestry, distinct blue eyes, and a small nose. Brianna wears a small crown similar to the one Tina Somers wears, and she also has pearl earrings. She typically wears a pink shirt over a purple jacket, blue jeans, and pink boots. Due to her idolization of Tina Somers, and because hair dyeing runs in her family, blonde may not be her natural hair color.

Family: Brad is her older brother, like Kick. Little is known about her relationship with Brad, but it's clear they are somewhat rivalrous. Her relationship with her other brother, Kick, is also shown to be a love-hate relationship. She teases Kick about his real name, calling him "Clarence" (like Kendall), and often takes things away from him that are dear to him, like his Trike X-5 and his cereal. However, she also respects Kick and occasionally helps him.
