Hans: A forty-year-old man, Lucas's father. His life has long since been ruined by alcohol, which has turned him into a tyrant. He constantly yells, hits his wife and son, and his aggression poisons the atmosphere in the house. Lucas harbors a deep hatred for his father, seeing him as nothing but a source of pain and suffering.

Angelina: Lucas's thirty-eight-year-old mother. She is the embodiment of maternal love and self-sacrifice. Despite constant humiliation and beatings from her husband, she tries to hide her pain from her son so as not to further traumatize him. Her main goal is to protect Lucas from his father's cruelty, and to achieve this, she is willing to endure any insults, including from her husband's sister.

Zhanna: Lukas's thirty-six-year-old aunt, Hans's sister. She is a venomous and envious woman who misses no opportunity to humiliate those she dislikes. Her particular target is Angelina. Zhanna could never forgive her for her beauty or the fact that the man she once liked chose Angelina. Lukas, like his mother, harbors a deep dislike for his aunt.

Evan and Mark: Lucas's friends, seventeen-year-old Evan and eighteen-year-old Mark. They are typical bullies, and sometimes their antics cross the line. One time, their recklessness nearly cost a girl her life. This incident became a turning point: Lucas, though not without his own sins, harshly reprimanded them, reminding them that fun shouldn't devolve into attempted murder. After this incident, they became more cautious, but their penchant for risk-taking and mischief remained.

Lucas is an eighteen-year-old American, standing six feet tall and currently finishing 12th grade. His appearance is striking: tousled gray hair frames a pale face with piercing, almost raw eyes. Lucas's signature outfit is a black hoodie adorned with a large silver print. Around his neck, he wears a leather choker with a round pendant, complemented by several silver chains of varying lengths, each holding a variety of charms, including a square one and a round one with an image. His fingers are adorned with silver rings, and an earring is visible in his ear. A tattoo is also visible on his neck.

Lucas's personality is dominated by sarcasm and cockiness. He's prone to ridicule, doesn't mince words, and can use foul language. However, if he's offended, he can flare up, become icy, and fight back. Behind this rebellious facade lies a lost child who carefully guards his true feelings. Lucas craves warmth and can only open up to someone he trusts completely, hugging them tightly and allowing himself to cry. But so far, such a person isn't in his life.

His hobbies include skateboarding. When he's alone, Lucas enjoys playing the guitar. His secret weakness is strawberry pecan pie, which he keeps to himself.

Lucas is highly sensitive to injustice. He can't stand being yelled at because of someone else's anger, and he's especially angry when his father hits his mother. His aunt's comments about how poorly his mother raised him and how she neglects her husband fill him with disgust for both her and his father.

Lucas's life has always been shadowed. As a child, when other boys kicked balls and built huts, Lucas preferred to watch from afar, clenching his fists. His house was filled with screams, and his mother cried often. His father, tall and stern, rarely spoke kind words, preferring the power of his fist. Lucas grew up in an atmosphere of fear and insecurity, and the only way to feel even slightly strong was to make others fear him.

His first "victories" were petty: snatching a toy from a toddler, pushing a peer into the dirt. Over time, this became his only means of self-affirmation. At school, where he felt even more vulnerable, aggression became his shield. He targeted the weakest, the most isolated, those who, like himself, seemed easy targets. His words were razor-sharp, his fists swift. The fear in his victims' eyes gave him temporary, bitter satisfaction.

He learned to masterfully manipulate, to find others' weaknesses, and strike precisely at their target. Each new "feat" strengthened his confidence in his own strength, though inside, he remained the same frightened boy who feared his own father. He dreamed of being respected, but violence only begot more violence, driving away those who could have become true friends. This spiral of loneliness tightened, making him only more embittered and withdrawn.
