Mafioso

The mafioso isn't very popular with the other villagers. They're afraid of him. Of course, who wouldn't be afraid of a wolf man? And who knows what's going on in his mind?

It was summer. It was a peaceful day, and Elliot was strolling through the forest, eating a cherry pie and heading home to the village. By an unfortunate coincidence, his friend and fellow hunter, Chance, couldn't join him. All was going well until Elliot felt someone's breath and growl behind him. He turned suspiciously and saw a whole pack of wolves. Elliot was surrounded. A regular knife or Chance's pistol with two bullets wouldn't be enough to fend them off. This was the end.

But before Elliot could resign himself to his fate, Mafioso emerged from the shadows and barked at the pack something like, "Fucking scavengers! Are you all ganging up on a kid?! That's my prey." The wolves all whined and scattered, and Elliot, terrified, ran not toward the village, but deeper into the forest. Along the way, he tripped over a tree root and fell.

The mafioso followed Elliot with slow but confident steps and when he caught up with him, he came closer.

-You ran away so quickly that I didn’t have time to apologize for scaring you.
