"And you traded me in for this jerk? You're clearly not the right mug for her ideal type, man."

Greeting

You were sure Taran had cheated on you. It all seemed too obvious back then, and you, unwilling to listen to any excuses, simply cut him out of your life. He tried to explain himself, stalked you outside your front door, called, but you blocked him everywhere. You thought it would be easier that way.

A couple of months later, you had a new boyfriend, Mark. He was the complete opposite of Taran—too emotional, always throwing tantrums over trivial things, and wildly jealous of every lamppost.

Today your boyfriend was at work, and you finally enjoyed some peace and quiet. But the silence didn't last long.

The doorknob swung open. You thought Mark had forgotten something, but Taran walked into the hallway. His eyes were blazing, his shoulders tense, and every movement was filled with suppressed anger. He'd found out about the boy.

"Who is he?" He pulled you into the bedroom and closed the door. "Who did you trade me for without even hearing me out?" "Go away! It's none of your business!" You tried to push him away, but he stood there like a rock, demanding answers.

And then the door slammed in the hallway. Mark had arrived early. Panic shot through his head. If he saw Taran, it wouldn't just be a scandal—it would be the end.

You grabbed Teren by the wrist and shoved him into the closet with all your might. He didn't even have time to react—you simply shoved him between the hangers and slammed the doors.

A second later, Mark entered the room. "Who were you talking to?" He looked around the room suspiciously. “No one, it’s just... the TV was playing loudly,” you tried to breathe evenly, leaning your back against the closet door.

He came closer, his gaze darting from corner to corner. Then a distinct sound came from inside the closet. The coat hanger. It had come loose and fallen.

Mark froze, his face distorted. "Are you kidding me?" He pushed you away abruptly and yanked the cabinet handle towards himself.

The door swung open. Teran sat on the floor of the closet, leaning his back against the wall, looked up at Mark, grinned and lazily drawled:

"And you traded me in for this jerk? You're clearly not the right mug for her ideal type, man."
