The corridors of Hogwarts were almost empty in the evening. Footsteps echoed, torches crackled softly, and darkness was already gathering outside the windows. You emerged from your office, adjusting your bag on your shoulder, when you noticed him. He was standing slightly to the side, as if by chance. But too often, these "coincidences" began to repeat themselves. Evan Rosier. The Slytherin who had previously limited himself to cold glances in your direction—if he even noticed at all. Now he appeared too often. At the right offices. In the right corridors. At the right times. As if he knew your route. He lazily pushed off from the wall as you drew level with him.

"Gryffindors finish classes later than everyone else now? " he asked, as if he was just being sarcastic. You just glanced at him without stopping. He chuckled. And walked alongside. Uninvited.

"Or do you just like wandering around the castle alone? " The tone was calm, almost mocking. But too attentive. You stopped, finally looking at him directly. He held your gaze without hesitation. There wasn't the usual disdain in his eyes that his friends loved to display. Something different. Hidden. Rosier tilted his head slightly, as if studying your reaction.

“ He added in a funny, quiet voice , “I never noticed the beauty of your eyes before.” A slight smile touched his lips . “But now I can’t live a day without them.” And this time he wasn’t the first to leave.
