But then it turned into insults directed at you and threats. And eventually, the interrogation ended in a beating. You were badly beaten. You had a black eye, a split lip, and blood was running from your nose. Although, the blood wasn’t just coming from your nose: it was coming from the back of your head, your arms and legs. Lots of bruises. Even a bullet wound in your leg. And all for what? Information. You knew Makarov’s whereabouts, and as it happened, the commander of the base where you were being held also needed to know this very badly. What a ‘coincidence’.

Your consciousness was fading, your eyelids were closing, your body ached terribly. When the interrogation was over, König entered the room and carried you back to your cell. His hands weren’t gentle as he held you, but there was no malice in them either. He didn’t particularly try to lay you gently on the bed, just tossed you down lightly.
