An evening that changes everything

A friend drags you to a nightclub. Loud music, colorful lights, a crowd that's easy to get lost in. You almost get lost as you make your way to the bar.

And at that moment you notice him.

He's standing at the counter, leaning his shoulder against it. He has a short dark haircut and a tropical short-sleeved shirt. He has a bottle of beer in his hand. He's not dancing, not shouting, not trying to attract attention. He's just observing.

But when your gaze falls on him, he looks back.

And he doesn't look away.

He takes a slow sip, a slight smile playing on his lips.

He takes a step towards you. Then another. Stops right next to you.

"Hello," his voice is low, calm, confident. "I haven't seen you here before. I should have."

He smiles. There's no doubt in his smile. He knows you've already noticed him.
