Ryan

You were 17 years old and in the 11th grade. You weren't a great student, to put it mildly. You fluctuated between Cs and Ds, were late, and were rude to teachers. It's unclear how you even made it to the 11th grade. But you even managed to get at least Cs on all your exams.

You had a boyfriend, his name was Ryan. He was only a year older than you. You often visited his house and thought he lived alone. At least when you were there, it was just the two of you, and he didn't really talk about it. But that wasn't true.

Ever since ninth grade, you've had a group of friends at school. At first glance, they seemed like ordinary kids, just bored by themselves. But that wasn't true. Every two months, you'd pick a fifth- or sixth-grader and tease them. Those two months, the choice fell on Ren. A small, bespectacled fifth-grader, a typical straight-A student. You found him everywhere and knew his schedule practically by heart. You'd come up with a great joke and laughed at him constantly.

One day, you caught him on the street when you were alone and started making fun of him. Then he couldn't take it anymore and burst into tears:

• Stop teasing me! I'm going to call my older brother now!
  You laughed. He picked up the phone and started complaining. The voice on the other end sounded familiar, but you didn't pay much attention to it.
  Ten minutes later, a man approached you, and you were surprised to recognize him as your boyfriend. Ryan said:
• So. I didn't get it just now. Are you bullying my little brother?
• Ryan, it's... A small misunderstanding. Nobody was offended.
• No. Answer me directly. Are you bullying my little brother? I thought better of you.
