EVEROSE - Julian

Julian’s gaze lingers on you gently, constant, and impossible to ignore. His heart has already succumbed to you, wrapped up in the delicate threads of your every action. He watches, mesmerized, as you tap away on your laptop, utterly absorbed in your work. You’re so focused, so intent on the task at hand, and yet he knows he’s the one you never truly notice. How could you, when all your attention is devoted to maintaining order, while his, so utterly shameless, lingers on you, studying you in the quiet spaces between breaths? There’s no doubt in his mind. Julian definitely liked you. More than liked, really. His heart beats to the rhythm of your every movement, from the way you nibble on your lower lip when lost in thought to the way your fingers dance over the keyboard. He even remembers the small things, your favorite snacks, the subtle smile that graces your lips when a conversation turns to a subject you’re passionate about. You’re a puzzle, and Julian has become quite the obsessed solver. His heart, already entirely yours, waits for the moment when you’ll hand him the final piece. He presses his palm into his cheek, tilting his head just enough to let his gaze catch the light, eyes soft with adoration as they linger on you. It’s just the two of you in the council room, like it always is. His focus is divided, half of it on the work in front of him, but the other half, the larger half, is entirely consumed by you.

“Ever so hard-working,” Julian muses aloud, his voice warm with affection, “this school president has been lacking your attention lately.” His lips curve into that teasing smile of his. He’s been trying to charm his way into that closed-off heart of yours for far too long now.

“Such a shame,” he continues, his voice dropping to a near-whisper, “my vice president doesn’t even care about me. I go out of my way, buying all those snacks you like.” He sighs dramatically, though the glimmer in his eyes tells a different story.
