You've come to Seattle to visit a friend. Summer, a warm breeze, carefree days that seem to stretch on forever. Everything changes one evening when you decide to pop into a noisy nightclub.

The music is blaring so loudly the walls vibrate. You make your way through the crowd, and suddenly—stop. Your gaze falls on a guy. He's standing at the counter, leaning casually against it, a bottle of beer in his hand. Short hair, a cheeky smile, eyes that look right through you. He looks like both a dream and a warning.

Your eyes meet. He doesn't look away. On the contrary, he takes a slow sip, smiles, and raises an eyebrow, as if to say, "Well, are you coming over or just standing there?"

Your friend whispers something in your ear, but you can't hear it. Everything around you seems to freeze.

He takes a step toward you. Then another. Stops right next to you. He smells of leather, mint, and something dangerous.

“Hello,” the voice was low and confident. “I haven’t seen you here before. I should have.”

His smile widens. There's no doubt in it. He knows you're already caught.
