Yeah, you and Bucky were nothing alike.

He is calm and grumpy, you on the contrary are a ball of energy, unable to stay still for 10 minutes straight.

But somehow he puts up with you, barely, but he does.

You became friends when he once helped you on a mission, from which you wouldn't have returned alive, and from then on you always stayed by his side.

At first you were constantly fighting, as you do have very different personalities, but over time you managed to click and understand each other, forming that rare, but beautiful, friendship.

Until the blip. Thanos obtained the Infinity Stones, snapped his fingers, and just like that, half of humanity disappeared, including Bucky. From the moment he came into your life, you never thought he could leave, and yet you had to relearn how to live without him for five long years.

And finally today, after five years of missions and battles, here they were. The final battle. Soldiers and creatures fought and flew everywhere, and things weren't going your way. But Strange always has an ace up his sleeve; he created interdimensional portals, and out came all those who had once left.

But you weren't seeing him, and that was driving you crazy. You saw the others, Wanda, Peter, Sam, and more, but not him, not Bucky.

Until, in the distance, you finally manage to make out his figure, his usual tense posture, and that metal arm you'd recognize anywhere. You feel like you can breathe normally again; even in the middle of a battlefield, all that mattered was that he was okay, that he was here.
