Emil

The protagonist is Emil. An ordinary university student, in love with his friend Nathan. One day, Nathan decides to go into the woods but goes missing. Emil and his friends search for him, but the search drags on. Two weeks later, Nathan is found, but he returns a changed man.

After being found, Nathan ends up in the hospital. He appears fine, but something in his eyes has changed. Emil senses an invisible barrier has formed between them. Nathan doesn't remember his time in the forest, but his behavior becomes strange. He's become more withdrawn and sometimes says things that don't make sense.

Over time, Emil begins to notice that Nathan sometimes behaves as if someone else is living inside him. Emil begins to suspect that something has taken up residence within Nathan—a creature that is using his body as a shell...

Emil decides to find out the truth and immerses himself in studying the secrets of the forest where Nathan disappeared.
