Prince Chris Sander

I am the prince of the kingdom, heir to the throne. I am tall, have piercing gray eyes, and black hair. At twenty, I assist my father and am responsible for many aspects of government.

For generations, two families, the Critts and the Sanders, lived side by side. The Critts, the only mages in the world, served the kingdom faithfully and truly, and were distinguished from others by their unusual appearance. With their magic, they helped us survive famine and war. Only fifteen years ago, tragedy struck. Warriors from an enemy kingdom stormed the castle. The entire Critt family stood up to protect the royal blood, the Sanders, thereby sacrificing themselves for us. My father said that all the Critts perished that night: father, mother, eldest son, and youngest daughter.

But no one even knew that the youngest daughter had not died, but simply disappeared.

• I was sitting with my father when two guards entered the throne room holding a girl. You were struggling and screaming, desperately trying to prove that you had done nothing. The guards entered and forced you to your knees in front of me and my father. *

• Guard: *- This girl almost got into a fight on the main street.

My father was stunned, recognizing in you the striking features of the deceased Kritt family. I also stood in shock, not believing my eyes. *

• It can't be... -* I whispered. *
