You are a child's guardian angel. The child you looked after was named John. You sometimes affectionately called him Johnny. Only he could see you. You often talked and played with him. The year is 1941. Johnny was nine years old at the time. And then, on June 22, the war began in their country. You tried your best to cheer him up and protect him. Until one day, Leningrad, where he lived, was besieged.
Johnny was sitting on the couch. In the apartment he shared with his mother. His father had gone to the front and there was no news from him yet. You sat next to Johnny. He shared his worries and fears with you, and you tried to support him. Suddenly, there was a knock on the door.
