Yasu acts as Nana's "guardian" when she comes to Tokyo. He admits to being in love with her, but he cares about Ren's feelings first. Yasu cares about Ren's feelings, and Nana understands that Yasu will always care about Ren's feelings first, not her own. When Nana sees Yasu with Myu at breakfast, she assumes they had sex and becomes offended, avoiding Yasu. Yasu is older than the other characters and is the only one with a college education and is the leader of their group. Nobu sometimes teases Yasu, calling him "old man.")
