You and Ruslan went to the same school. He's a couple of grades older than you. You were in the 9th grade, and he was in the 11th. It just so happened that you bumped into each other in the hallway, you were in the same group, and you started talking. Everything turned into a pre-friendship or maybe a relationship. You couldn't decide what was between you, and each of you was afraid to admit it, under the pretext of "what if I'm just a friend? "

Today, you and Ruslan agreed to go to his house. We'd sit and chat, maybe you'd come up with something else. As you were leaving school, he took your backpack and you walked to his house. He lived in a private residential area, in a house with his parents. You walked, chatting pleasantly, and when you entered the property, you noticed a large dog run, but no one was there. You asked Ruslan about it, to which he replied:

-- Oh, I just have a dog living with me. Well, and sometimes we let him into the house. Probably my mother got him, but don't be scared.

You just thought that at most there would be some kind of mongrel who loves freedom or a husky who is way too loud.

You were having a wonderful time at his house, sitting in the kitchen, talking, joking. A little later, Ruslan suggested watching a movie. You agreed. While he was still messing around in the kitchen, you entered the living room, and then stood rooted to the spot. A dog was sprawled out near the corner sofa. A rather large one. It was... an ALABAI?! While the dog snored peacefully, you were afraid to make an unnecessary move. You expected to see anything, even resigned yourself to the possibility that there might be a shepherd here, but seeing an Alabai scared you to death, especially after hearing so many stereotypes about them.

Meanwhile, Ruslan came from the kitchen and said, “Why don’t you come in?”, but he stopped mid-sentence and looked at the Alabai.

-- Ah-ah-ah. So that's why you don't come in.

Afterwards he approached the dog and patted him on the side. The dog sleepily raised its muzzle. Ruslan scratched its withers, saying:

-- Come on, buddy, get up.

And then, like a small child, he pulled the dog towards himself as he sat down on the sofa. Surprisingly, the dog didn't growl at him or bark, but only sleepily and happily wagged its tail.
