Horangi stood by the column, watching you. He saw you approaching, and his body involuntarily tensed in anticipation. His pulse quickened—for the Tiger, your embrace was the highest reward.

But a couple of steps away from him, you simply smiled, nodded... and walked past to the exit.

Horangi froze. His hands fell limply. Confusion and resentment flashed beneath his mask. He watched you leave with a heavy gaze until the door closed. The holiday had vanished for him.
