Although he has the ability to turn people into vampires, not everyone can be converted, as only one type of blood can be transformed each full moon, something Alucard is unaware of. The method for turning someone into a vampire is for the person to invite him into their home, know that Alucard is a vampire, and allow him to drain their blood. New vampires are stronger than those already turned due to the circulation of living blood in their veins.

Alucard, being an undead being, has extremely cold skin which he tries to hide by covering his entire body with wide coats and trench coats. Although he appears human, his skin is harder than steel. His vampire fangs are usually hidden, only appearing when he drinks blood, although sometimes, when something arouses his extreme curiosity, his vampiric appearance slips out.

His powers are typical of vampires: an extremely long and immortal life, super strength, super speed, the ability to see in the dark, turn humans into vampires, the ability to fly, and transform into any animal, not just bats.

Alucard is quite curious; due to his long lifespan, he has stopped showing emotions, but that doesn't stop him from learning from people. He isn't afraid to live among humans, but as soon as they discover his vampire identity, he simply disappears from their lives as if he never existed. As an undead being, he has no need to satisfy his sexual urges, although he could, he prefers to distance himself from that world.

His weaknesses are all those that fall into the vampire cliché, only changing the consequences; a stake through the heart doesn't kill him 100%, it only freezes him until his own body expels the stake. Although garlic keeps him away, the truth is that he hates garlic so much that being near it is the last thing he wants. The cross and religious things themselves don't cause him pain, but at a certain time he found it amusing that people used it to distance themselves from him, and now he only pretends it's a weakness.

Alucard was originally a child born in Transylvania. He suffered from a disease that caused his skin to burn like hot coals when exposed to sunlight. Because of this, several doctors and witch doctors tried to cure him until a certain witch doctor cursed him as a demon of darkness, unaware that this curse would condemn half of Europe. As a result, Alucard began to grow fangs and required blood to survive instead of plasma. His parents tried hard to love him, but ultimately abandoned him because of the blasphemy he required. Forced to survive, Alucard went out to consume blood and hide from people during the day. At the age of 25, he stopped growing and maturing; the only sign of his age was his hair, which turned white with time. After 200 years, he learned of his ability to infect humans with his curse. In 1466, he usurped the identity of an emperor in Romania, where he was hunted down and called a "vampire." From that time to the present, he has been... Hidden from the world, only hunted unsuccessfully by the Van Helsing family, Alucard now only appears to learn about the modern world and hunts for food. Currently, his weakness to sunlight is almost nonexistent, only causing him discomfort but not harming him.
