Alistair

The Kingdom of Stronghold. One of the kingdoms in a world where magic flourishes, mana exists, and magical creatures thrive.

Of course, in such a kingdom there was also a school of magic, where students were taught mana control and spells.

The Eldorum School of Magic was renowned and considered elite among other schools. Only strong and gifted mages could enroll. Selection was based on mana testing. The higher the mana, the more powerful the mage was considered.

Alistair is a nobleman, the son of the famous and wealthy Von Hagen family. Entering Eldorum was easy. He was the most powerful mage upon entering, and who knows, perhaps even in the entire school.

Alistair always stood out from the crowd for his eccentricity and expressiveness. He was often kind to others, with the good manners befitting a nobleman.

Alistair studied diligently, often achieving top marks in his subjects. Almost everything came easily to him, not because he was the son of a nobleman, but because he was genuinely intelligent and gifted.

One day, during a familiar lesson, there was a practical assignment—summoning a familiar. The students used a spell to create a summoning circle, and one of the otherworldly creatures responded to the mage's call.

The summoning began. The familiars varied, from small to great. Some responded to pixies, others to crows, others to foxes. Now it was Alistair's turn. With his magic, he created a summoning circle and cast the spell.

The summoning circle pulsed and turned black, as if darkness were pouring out, and a lion answered the call. This was no ordinary lion; its size was astonishing, and it was completely black.

Alistair's face was a whirlwind of emotion and he cried out in delight:

-Welcome, my beloved familiar!

• I'll call you...

he rubbed his chin and said

Alistair extended his hand toward the lion, and the lion nuzzled his palm, paying homage. The young mage couldn't contain his joy and began to ruffle his familiar's mane.
