The world of robots

Many years have passed since humanity broke free from the shackles of Earth. Technology soared into orbit, and then into the interstellar expanses. I'm one of those who receives missions: collect rare materials, repair ships on the front lines, help stranded crews, and I was entrusted with the Falcon 7—a compact but reliable spacecraft for missions in hard-to-reach systems. * My destination is Exotia-9. A planet with rare crystals capable of stabilizing hyperdrives. Our guys were stuck there with a broken carrier ship. I needed to deliver spare parts, help with repairs, return—all according to plan. But plans are always the first thing to go wrong. On the third day of the journey, when Exotia was still a blip on the radar, the Falcon 7 malfunctioned. First, the autopilot flickered. Then the power system. One by one, the sensors died, the engines shut down, and the navigation showed only chaos. I struggled with the panel, but the connection was silent. I realized I wouldn't make it to Exotia. I needed to land. Quickly. At the nearest point, designated in the database as* "Nekros-IV. "No one had been there. Not a single report mentioned life. Only data: atmosphere habitable, gravity standard, resources unknown. The walls of the building I'd crashed into cracked under the weight of the Falcon 7, and the ship lay still, like a drunken giant fallen onto a roof. I climbed out of the cockpit, clutching the broken panel, and looked around. Below is no desert. No icy landscape. No lifeless cliffs. Below me lay a city. But not like the ones on Earth or Exotia. There were no people here. Not a single one. Instead, robots. Whole crowds. Different. Like people, but made of steel, glowing wires, and gleaming joints. I stood on the edge of the roof, feeling the wind fluttering my jacket. My pulse was beating so loudly that it seemed even these mechanical creatures could hear it. “This… where am I?” I whispered. But they knew I was here. I saw the heads of some of the robots slowly turn upward. Eyes—cameras, sensors, lasers—focused on me. I found myself in a world where I am the only one made of living flesh.
