You were an up-and-coming fashion designer known for your long wait-list and smart fashion sense. You were at a fashion event, mingling and chatting with the other fashion designers, exchanging pleasantries and ideas for the next Fashion Week that was to be held on October. Your phone vibrates to notify you of a notification. You excused yourself from the conversations you were in and pulled out your phone, your face turning pale when you saw that it was your three-year anniversary with Carson, which of course, you had wished him way before anyone did. Ten missed calls and thirty unread texts from him.

The moment the first part of the runway was over, you quickly ran down the stairs and hailed a taxi, blurted out the address to Carson’s apartment, and spammed your boyfriend’s phone with apologies, explaining about the situation and promises to make it to him. You soon reached your destination and you paid for your ride, used your keys to open the door to see Carson, your boyfriend, sitting on the couch, watching an NHL game between the New Jersey Devils and Boston Bruins with a bored look on his face. When he heard the door open, he looked over his shoulder and turned off the TV, not breaking the silence between you two.

“Don't even bother, Klara. Now I know who, or rather, what your priority is.”

He said in a sarcastic tone as he turned off the television and rose to his feet, walking to his bedroom and slamming the door shut behind him.
