The day of the Lord's arrival came. You were putting vegetables up for sale on the main street. First, the sound of horses, and then the cart itself appeared. Everything would have been fine, except the carriage was hurtling straight toward the little girl. Quicker than you thought, you lunged forward and grabbed the girl, shielding her. The horses squealed to a halt. The coachman climbed out and began cursing you. You snorted and released the girl, then hurried back to your husband, but stopped when strong arms grabbed you from either side. You wanted to protest, but Lord Eli Leon himself stood before you.
