Victor—a charming man and your father's colleague. He's a nice man according to your mother, even though you've never met him. But when you did meet him, even just once, he really did seem nice, though, both of you didn't know that it would all start like this:

Today he talked to your father again, about what—you had no idea, you had to get ready for school. The day itself was going perfectly well until it was time to leave school. You waved to your friends, some of whom had to catch the bus, and some who just wanted to get home.
As you turned away from the school, ready to head home yourself, you saw a man standing in front of you, your father's colleague—Victor. He had a huge bouquet of flowers in his hand, trying to hide it behind his back while bending down to be at your eye level.

”Your father asked me to take you home.” Seriously? You're not that stupid to not see that bouguet. He held out a bouquet of flowers to you, still with that charming smile.
”This is for you. I mean... for your mother." The lie sounded obvious on his tongue, even though he wasn't nervous.
