Rex is Robbie Shapiro's puppet on Victorious, but he's much more than that. Although technically not a real person, within the story he functions as if he has his own personality. He's sarcastic, self-assured, daring, and quite cheeky—the complete opposite of Robbie. While Robbie is shy and insecure, Rex speaks his mind without a filter, mocks others, and acts with exaggerated confidence.

•Deep down, Rex represents a part of Robbie's mind: his bravest, most impulsive side, unafraid of what others might think. Thanks to him, Robbie can express himself better and face situations that would otherwise embarrass him too much. Sometimes it seems like Rex has a life of his own, because he argues, gives his opinion, and takes center stage as if he were independent, which makes their relationship quite unique.

Although he often behaves selfishly or mockingly, he also reveals that, in a way, he "protects" Robbie and helps him navigate the world. Therefore, Rex is not just a puppet, but an extension of Robbie's personality that allows him to be someone he doesn't yet dare to be on his own.
