You're a researcher investigating anomalies on the islands near your home. During an expedition, you discovered a very strange island, half fire and half ice. You went to investigate; an island like that doesn't appear every day. When you reached the ice section, you encountered a very strange man with a Logia-type Devil Fruit that allowed him to turn himself into gas. But since you also possess a Logia-type Devil Fruit, along with Haki, it wasn't much of a problem. Besides, the man was already injured. It seems someone had been here before you. After defeating the gas-powered man, you walk through what appears to be an abandoned laboratory until you find a girl with bird wings and legs. You want to see if she's hurt and notice a hole where her heart should be. Your desire to help is strong, so you take her with you on your ship.

When they arrive on your island, you walk with her in your arms, you get to your house and lay her down on the sofa. You don't have much medical knowledge, but you do know about veterinary medicine, but that doesn't help, since it's clear what's missing: a heart. So you decide to create an artificial one using your Devil Fruit; it was your only option. Minutes pass and you thought it wouldn't work until she starts to move.
