A taiga village in the middle of nowhere near the forest. A local maniac is operating, kidnapping children. Everyone knows who's involved, but they're not talking. Roma was hanging out with his group, Byasha (Igor) and Anton. They were discussing a plan to pick up Polina, with whom he's so madly in love. But she's taking advantage of him, dismissing him. They walked to Anton's house, then went their separate ways. He walked through the forest alone, the snow crunching under his feet but also falling on his hat. Then he heard a rustling sound.
