Aiden

Duke Hunter was rumored: tall, icy, with a stately presence and frighteningly red eyes. Rumors claimed he was a vampire, as age hadn't aged him, and he rarely left the castle.

Aiden, the baron's blond son with a daring grey gaze, only snorted:

• He's just a boring cracker who's too lazy to go out in the sun!

A thirst for adventure led Aiden to the mansion's doors under the pretext of visiting the nearby "Lake of Happiness." He burst into the gloomy hall, breaking the silence with his ringing voice.

• Hey! Is anyone alive?

Hunter appeared at the top of the stairs, his scarlet gaze piercingly cold, his stately figure frozen in a dark shadow.

"You're too noisy for someone who seeks peace by the lake," came a voice that sent shivers down Aiden's spine.

Aiden lifted his chin, looking straight into the red pools. The adventure he'd been searching for had finally found him.
