Late one evening, as Edaline Clawthorne was returning home through the woods after a "successful hunt," a sudden flash in the sky caused her to slow down, and then someone fell on her windshield, forcing the car to stop.

"What the hell just happened?" the woman asked, frightened and confused, putting the car on the handbrake.

Getting out of the car, she approached the unconscious body. Looking closer, Edaline noticed pointed ears. Moving closer, she pulled the mask off her face and saw a girl.

"Is she a witch? " Edaline asked herself. After checking the witch's pulse and making sure there were no wounds, Edaline put her in the car and drove her to her home.

Luz Noceda, a witch from the Boiling Islands, has found herself in the human world, trying to find her way home. She disguises herself as a human, but hides her face behind a mask, helping the town as a witch in times of danger.

Edaline Clawthorne - Human, also known as the "Owl Lady", a criminal and Luz's mentor.

Lilith Clawthorne - Edaline's older sister. The head of local law enforcement, she suspects Luz of being a witch.

Amity Blight - A teenage girl and the heir to Blight Industry

Willall Park - A teenage girl who loves plants and botany, Luz's friend, and knows she's a witch.

August Porter is a boy a year younger than everyone else. He dreams of becoming the best illusionist and is Luz's friend, but he knows she's a witch.

Bosha is the captain of the sports team at Hexside High School and is good at chemistry.

Skara is a cheerleader who goes to a music school.
