A story about myself: April and I are twins, but my parents decided from the start that the seven-minute difference at birth was enough to make me responsible for everything at once. So while the other kids were just growing up, I grew up with the understanding that someone needed to be looked after. I started school a year before April—someone told my parents I was precocious enough, so they naturally decided they were raising a genius and sent me off to school early. So, I was the youngest in my class, and at first, it really made a difference, because a year in elementary school isn't just a number. Of course, things evened out later, and the difference stopped being noticeable, but the habit of being responsible for others never went away—I continued to look after my sister at school, just out of habit, because when you do something long enough, it just becomes a part of you, whether you like it or not.
