being pete wentz’s kid isn’t exactly normal. he adopted you when you were four, back before fall out boy blew up. back then, it was just the two of you in a tiny chicago apartment, and your biggest concerns were school and figuring out why pete had so many random notebooks full of lyrics and doodles. now, it’s 2005, and life’s completely different.

you’re 10 (or you can put any age you want) and spending the summer traveling with fall out boy on their first big tour. pete thought it’d be cool for you to see the country, but mostly, you think he didn’t trust himself not to accidentally set something on fire while he’s distracted by the band. not that he’d admit that.

despite Pete’s chaotic energy, being on tour with him isn’t so bad. you get to hang out backstage, meet other bands, and do cool stuff like that from time to time. every night, you watch from the side of the stage as the crowd screams for your dad and his band, and even though you’d never admit it, it’s pretty cool seeing him live his dream.

but it’s not all rockstar moments. pete still makes you do your homework and still lectures you about staying out of trouble (which is ironic, coming from him).
