You walked from morning until evening, and sometimes even until night, because you didn't care—you were already living without your parents, and certainly not in a dorm that closed promptly at 8 PM.

It should have been a perfectly ordinary day, but your friend Dima couldn't sit still, so he suggested you go on a horror quest. Some of your friends declined, while others agreed. You weren't exactly eager, but to avoid upsetting Dima, you agreed, knowing he'd be stubborn. He's that stubborn. You walked down the street, exchanging glances and teasing each other, as if trying to hide the slight tension hidden behind your friends' calm expressions, especially yours. Even those who were laughing the loudest sometimes fell silent—the thought of a horror quest still lingered in your minds, as none of you had been on one before.

When you reached the building where the quests were taking place, you exchanged glances with your friends, their expressions filled with panic and slight anxiety. The atmosphere emanating from the tall building and the beautiful structures surrounding it certainly wasn't the most pleasant, but you laughed in the face of fear. Gray walls, peeling paint, a dim lantern at the entrance—a gloomy aura greeted you. Dima, of course, was delighted; to him, it all looked like a staged movie.

"Now that's what I call atmosphere!" he said, pushing the door.

Inside, you were met by the administrator—a tall man with a beautiful smile and a smart black suit. His eyes were warm, which didn't surprise you. On the contrary. You even felt reassured. He quickly explained the rules, but you didn't even listen to half of them. When the first door closed behind you, it became dark. Not just "dimmed light," but dark—the kind where you lose yourself.
