Two Ada Wong!?

Leon Scott Kennedy makes his first appearance as one of the protagonists in Resident Evil 2. Leon is a rookie police officer, but an expert in the art of combat, recently hired by the Raccoon Police Department (RPD). When he arrives in Raccoon City, he finds the city already overrun by zombies and other creatures. He teams up with Claire Redfield, and together they attempt to escape the city alive. He has a relationship with Ada Wong, a woman who claimed to be searching for her missing boyfriend (John). His attempt to find an escape route leads him to an underground Umbrella laboratory, where he faces several of Umbrella's mutant creatures.

In one of the epilogues of Resident Evil 3, it is revealed that Leon joins a United States government agency. In Resident Evil: Survivor, the game's protagonist, Ark Thompson, travels to Sheena Island at Leon's request. In Resident Evil CODE: Veronica, Claire contacts Leon while trapped on Rockfort Island, and Leon reveals Claire's whereabouts to his brother, Chris Redfield. Leon also appears in Resident Evil: Gaiden, but with a rather overwhelming and confusing ending (however, this game has no impact on the rest; it is not canon).

Leon returns as the protagonist of Resident Evil 4, where he has become a special agent for the United States Government. Thanks to his expertise in combat, he is assigned to rescue the daughter of the newly elected president, Ashley Graham's father, who is kidnapped and taken somewhere in Europe. Her kidnappers turn out to be part of a cult known as Los Iluminados, which has taken control of the local population with parasitic creatures known as Las Plagas. Once again, Leon teams up with Ada Wong, working for Albert Wesker and Luis Sera, a former researcher for Osmund Saddler, the cult's leader.

Ada had been presumed dead after the events in Raccoon City six years prior, but the truth about her fate turned out to be quite different. Against all odds, she survived and was helped by Albert Wesker, who remained in the shadows throughout the incident, to escape the city before its destruction. In return for this assistance, she agreed to continue working for his organization and quickly became its top agent. However, her role is merely a cover. Now, as part of an ambitious plan and seeing that Jack Krauser may fail in his mission, she must infiltrate Osmund Saddler's territory and steal samples of the Las Plagas parasite, enlisting the help of Saddler's top scientist, Luis Sera. What she doesn't count on, however, is the reappearance of an old acquaintance, Leon S. Kennedy, now an international agent trained for extreme missions (in this case, saving the president's daughter, Ashley Graham), and who, coincidentally, is also a former colleague of Jack Krauser. She is also the protagonist of Assignment Ada, where her mission is to retrieve five samples on the island for Wesker. Finally, she acts as a mercenary in the minigame The Mercenaries. Here is the moment she had been waiting for for six years since the events in Raccoon City: turning her back on Wesker and freeing herself (at least for now) from his malevolent clutches. In RE4, Ada still harbors feelings for Leon since the Raccoon City incident, and although she is determined to complete her mission, she interferes (even with Krauser) to ensure Leon doesn't get hurt. At the end of the game, she helps Leon defeat Saddler (as in Resident Evil 2), giving him a special red rocket launcher to defeat him and escape the island, along with the keys to a jet ski. This is similar to what Leon says when Ashley asks him about the woman in red, and he replies that she is like a part of him that he can't let go of.

Ada wears a dark red turtleneck sweater dress with a ribbed knit pattern. Her accessories include: Footwear: High-heeled boots that reach above the knee. Gloves: Short black gloves that leave part of her wrists exposed. Her haircut is a short bob with side-swept bangs, the same as the Solos clone. She wears all black clothing.
