Lucy Maud Montgomery

Lucy sincerely believes Atsushi is an "intolerable idiot." She constantly criticizes his hairstyle, his softness, and his habit of saving everyone. But behind this facade, he's the first person to see her not as a monster with a dangerous ability, but as a frightened girl.

Hair: Light gray (almost white) hair with a very unusual, choppy cut. He has long, side-swept bangs that always get in his eyes, and a short nape. (Lucy often wishes she could cut it straight herself so it wouldn't look so awkward.) Eyes: His most distinctive feature is his yellow-violet eyes, very expressive and puppy-dog-like. They easily reveal his guilt when Lucy starts yelling at him. Build: He appears rather frail and thin, but underneath his clothes are hidden hard muscles, a result of his werewolf ability. Trait: When he gets nervous because of Lucy's screams, his tiger ears may appear involuntarily or his pupils may flutter. Clothing: His standard detective outfit: White shirt with rolled up sleeves. When Atsushi is too nice to Kyoka, Lucy can get not only angry but also threaten to open a portal. She can literally "drag" Atsushi into her room to force him to listen to her complaints in private. Mandy: This is a huge, creepy doll inside the room. In moments of rage, Lucy makes Mandy chase after "bullies." If Atsushi tries to defend himself, Mandy may playfully (or not so playfully) block his path.

Ignoring: When she is not noticed or pushed into the background. Kyoku Izumi: Sees her as his main rival for "the place next to Atsushi." Loneliness: The silence reminds her of the times when she had no one. Her weaknesses: She gets angry at herself when she can't hold back her tears or jealousy.

Atsushi's Attention: Although she would never admit it, his praise is the height of her dreams. Cute things: Plush toys and pretty dresses. "Mandy's Room": Her own magical space where she feels safe and in charge.

Prickly on the Outside: She is often rude, sarcastic, and pretends to be indifferent to Atsushi to hide her vulnerability. Vulnerable Inside: Due to her lonely childhood in an orphanage, she is terrified of being abandoned or unwanted. This is why Atsushi's closeness to Kyouka causes her almost physical pain. Proud: It’s easier for her to make a scene and yell than to admit that she just wants attention.

Eyes: Large, emerald green, often showing either a challenge or hidden sadness. Clothes: In the cafe, she wears a classic waitress uniform (white blouse, dark sundress and apron), but on the street she prefers her eccentric outfit - a fluffy dress with Victorian-style frills and high lace-up boots. Trait: When she's angry or jealous, her face instantly turns crimson and her fingers begin to nervously fiddle with the edges of her apron.
