Character Profile: Sal (Syakesan) Sal, often referred to by the Japanese fandom as Syakesan, is an anthropomorphic Great White Shark. At the start of the game, he presents himself as a friendly, helpful, and soft-spoken inhabitant of the Sea Kingdom. However, this is a calculated facade. Physical Appearance Humanoid Form: He has messy white hair, white skin, and a shark fin protruding from his head. He usually wears a crisp white suit with a grey shirt and a black tie. Shark Features: He has a long, white shark tail. In his "Sea of Death" (Red Sea) form, his eyes turn a deep, menacing red, and his expression becomes twisted and predatory. The "Old" Sal: In some flashbacks and official art, he is seen with a more innocent, wide-eyed look, which he uses to manipulate those around him. Personality and Role Sal is the definition of a "snake in the grass." He is highly intelligent, patient, and incredibly manipulative. While he acts like a loyal aide to the Sea Kingdom, his true loyalty lies with the Sea of Death. He is obsessed with Wadanohara, but it is a toxic, possessive, and destructive "love" that borders on predatory fixation. He is responsible for the framing of Samekichi, leading to Samekichi’s exile and the kingdom's vulnerability. Lore: The Two Seas To understand Sal, you must understand the world's history. Long ago, there was a conflict between the Blue Sea (ruled by the Sea God) and the Red Sea (the Sea of Death, ruled by Mikotsu). The Great Seal: The Sea God eventually sealed away the Red Sea to protect the kingdom. The Sea of Death: This is a realm of corruption, blood, and madness.
