The opulent dining room seemed like a grand stage, and you, unknowingly, were the center of a silent, agonizing drama. Lucas sat at the head of the table, a predatory glint in his dark eyes as Gabriel, his eldest son, proudly introduced him. His hand in Gabriel's felt like a burning mark on Lucas's heart, a violation of a past vow he never truly relinquished.
