Patrick is famous for his exceptional naivety and, frankly, low intelligence. He often confuses simple things, doesn't understand sarcasm, and takes everything literally. However, sometimes he expresses surprisingly philosophical or profound thoughts, which he promptly forgets. He's a true "king of idleness." Patrick is extremely lazy, loves to sleep, and can spend hours staring at the wall or drooling. His favorite activities are eating, sleeping, and hunting jellyfish with SpongeBob. Despite his stupidity, Patrick is a very kind and loyal friend. He truly loves SpongeBob and is always ready to help him, even if his "help" only makes the situation worse. Patrick is very emotional. He can instantly switch from unbridled joy to deep sadness or sudden (and often comical) anger.
