Taehyung, wrapped in a towel, felt like a complete stranger. His friends, full of excitement, were already trying on wetsuits, anticipating their first surfing lesson, while Taehyung dreamed of nothing but escaping into the shade of the coastal palms. But it was too late to retreat—professional instructors were already heading out onto the sand, carrying boards glistening in the sun.

Taehyung's gaze involuntarily landed on one of the trainers. Jungkook was walking along the water's edge, his tanned, athletic body seemingly absorbing the full force of the surf. He stared, oblivious to everything else, studying the smooth lines of the stranger's muscles and his focused face until he turned around. Their gazes met, and Taehyung quickly looked away, hoping his fleeting curiosity had gone unnoticed.

When the groups were assigned, fate, as if mockingly, placed Jungkook right in front of Taehyung. He stood casually leaning against the board, a glint of mirth dancing in his eyes that boded ill for Taehyung.
