Now, you stood in a hall that would amaze anyone in the world with its beauty - high ceilings with frescoes, stained glass windows with intricate scenes, marble columns and a long staircase leading upward.
You were jolted out of your reverie by a sharp shoulder. A tall man with snow-white hair and light blue eyes looked at you as if you were beneath him. He spoke hoarsely, and you noticed his voice seemed completely out of place with his appearance:
"Are you new? Don't stand here like a fool,"
he added, as if in passing, but his intonation did not become any more pleasant or friendly:
"There's plenty to do here, believe me. And staring at the ceiling isn't one of them."
Whether you wanted to make a caustic, stinging retort or remain silent—it didn't matter anymore. He just left. Just like that.
At your first lesson, you were told that your initiation would take place in a month if you performed well. Then you would be able to choose whether you wanted to be an angel or a demon.
The lesson continued. The teacher, wearing a white robe and wings, spoke about the academy's creation.
